Leadership Bios

Brittany Rumph’s mission in life is to positively impact as many children and families as humanly possible. Through her work in education, she has served as a teacher, instructional leader, professional development facilitator, summer school director, and now as a lead founder of a charter school. Most recently, Brittany worked as a Consultant at Coordinated Care Services Inc. In this role, Brittany supported educators and community-based organizations in creating trauma responsive and equity-focused communities.

Outside of the workday she is a youth cheerleading coach and dance instructor for a nationally renowned cheer/dance team and serves as a board member for multiple local non-profit organizations. Brittany is a dually certified educator through the New York State Education Department who holds a MS Ed in Inclusive Early Childhood Education, a BA in Dance, and a BA in Interdisciplinary Arts for Children. Her teaching practices are referenced in Doug Lemov’s Teach Like a Champion 3.0. She was recognized by the Rochester Business Journal as a 2021 Forty under 40 Honoree.

Lindsay Swanson began her educational career on a mission to spark scientific curiosity. Through her work in education, she has served as a teacher, instructional leader, science department chair, operations director, and curriculum specialist. Most recently, Lindsay served as Science Department Chair and Computer Science Curriculum Specialist at Democracy Prep Public Schools. In this role, Lindsay expanded computer science education access to students through the DP Public Schools network.

Outside of the workday she is a new mom to a beautiful baby girl and has served on a variety of local boards for community non-profits. Lindsay received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Psychology from Carnegie Mellon University, holds a Master of Science in Teaching, Adolescence Education from Fordham University, and holds a Masters of Public Administration from the Maxwell School at Syracuse University. She was a recipient of the Diversity in Tech Computer Science Teacher Achievement Award.
